What a great meal and the coffee was spot on. Was hoping for Eggs Benedict but husband read the menu incorrectly. No worries! I got eggs, bacon, sausage and toast in such generous portions I couldn't eat it all! The photo shows what I couldn't eat! That's about how much I've been served elsewhere!!The owner serves you, checks to make sure you are happy and takes very good care of his guests. The only "gotcha" is they are a cash only business and we didn't pay attention to the website! Cash only is great as long as you are prepared!Very accommodating of the service dog. Really a great place.

This cafe lives up to its high rating. It was so refreshing to have Indonesian elements on the menu. My husband and I were very happy with our selections: the lamb curry and an Indonesian fried chicken dish. The interior has been tastefully decorated, with the owner having had work done to expose the historic bluestone walls (hence the name of the cafe). Best of all, the owner was so friendly and kept us entertained with his travel stories.

Excellent food and coffee! Friendly, quick service and Authentic Indonesian food freshly cooked on the premises. Small but cosy café run by a husband and wife team, plenty of room and good for meeting up with friends like we did as you can talk without shouting to be heard. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic Indonesian restaurant/cafe. We devoured a lovely lamb curry, ayam chicken and stir fried beef with vegies. Sambal was excellent. Friendly service and comfy room

I'm concerned for the owners as their summer break has extended into autumn. Hope all is well, such a wonderful cafe and lovely people.

An inspiring, delightful cafe. Stop by a bit late for lunch and had the beef stir fry. Immediately got the friendly welcome and assisted for seating. Timing for the menu to come out was perfect, not late but also not rushed as they wanted us to order asap. Lemon infused water came out without being asked. Specials of the day, run out dishes are informed right after. I was not asked whether I'm ready to order but he knew I was ready to order. He had eye contact every now and then while serving other customers. Same level of attention was given to others. Including phone service, pre-order, warmer seating, vegetarion menu, refill or coffee, plus just the right amount of chat with customer. Food came out around 10 minutes, perfect ! The food size is surprisingly satisfying. Not big like you're a hungry customer, not small like you do not pay. Take it slow and embrace the simple and beauty in life. The Indonesia style cooking is well represented with the right white rice quality and a great sambal. Indonesia has a very wide range of sambal, this one is not too spicy (caution for those who are not used to, this may be very spicy for you) but they can adjust to your liking. Ask for mild if you're not used to. I was impressed that the door was held for a take away customer and was assisted to their car right in front of the cafe. Definitely revisit this cafe next time around. Highly recommended !!! Pardon if the photo was imperfect but hope it's honest and helpful.
